Pearl Certification endeavors not only to certify current high-performing homes, but also to help homeowners improve the energy efficiency of their existing homes. We developed our award-winning Green Door app to help you every step of the way. Read on to learn about the latest app enhancements.

Update Existing Assets

Green Door’s new, simplified Update Asset feature now applies to your existing home assets as well. Regularly updating assets in the app allows you to earn certification points for your home. For example, using our step-by-step interface, you can now easily update a 10-year-old ENERGY STAR refrigerator and earn points toward the next level in your Pearl Certification.

Recommended Improvements

Green door recommends which improvements to prioritize based on your home’s unique energy-efficient features. With our latest app enhancement, these recommendations now match the simple-to-use, three-step process associated with the My Home Assets section of Green Door.

Request Status Page

After logging a home asset via the Update Assets feature, you can visit the Request Status page to view what stage of the review process your submission is in. Status updates for Recommended Improvements can now also be found on the Request Status Page.

Faster Notifications

Once you enter a home asset into Green Door and it’s verified by a Pearl Certification employee, you will automatically receive an email notification confirming your submission is complete, how many points you earned toward Pearl Certification, and how many points remain to attain the next level of certification.

“Find Professionals” Enhanced Results

Pearl only accepts the top U.S. contractors into its elite Contractor Network. With such stringent qualifications, the Pearl Network does not currently maintain vetted contractors in every market. In an effort to still provide you with quality contractors in this scenario, Pearl Certification has partnered with Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) to recommend its highly skilled contractors through the “Find Professionals” search in Green Door. Click on the “View ACCA Professionals” button to view ACCA’s full list of contractors in the defined service zip code.

Remediating Duplicate Addresses

Through automated emails, Pearl has expedited the process for homeowners to receive access to the correct Green Door account when duplicate addresses exist in the system.
