Vienna, Virginia and San Francisco, California – July 17, 2018 – Pearl Certified homes have high performing, energy efficient features and sell for a 5% premium when marketed properly. To share this news with power brokers and top producing agents interested in learning new strategies to grow their business, Pearl’s real estate team is showcasing its certification services at Inman Connect San Francisco.
How America builds homes is changing, and homeowner interests are changing too. Buyers rank healthy, efficient housing as one of their Top 5 most desired home features. “ICSF is a terrific opportunity to meet with influencers and leaders in residential real estate. We look forward to speaking with successful firms about our program and being a part of high-level discussions that will innovate the market for years to come,” said Cynthia Adams, Pearl’s Co-Founder and CEO.
Pearl opened up its 10th state market one month ago by enrolling Realty One Group’s (ROG) San Diego, CA offices into its BrokerAdvantage program. As part of this program, ROG’s agents were trained on new strategies to close more listings and bring additional value to their buy and sell-side clients by certifying a home’s high-performing features.
Pearl is already expanding outside of the San Diego market and into Orange County. Having recently listed a Pearl Certified home in San Diego, “Green” Eileen Oldroyd, Broker/Owner of Oldroyd Realty, exclaimed, “I am so thankful for Pearl’s time and coaching and am looking forward to having Pearl as a business partner. This certification will give my listing the edge and value it needs to sell quickly and at the top of its market.”
As a BrokerAdvantage member, Pearl Partner agents like Eileen receive training on identifying and marketing high-performing, energy efficient and renewable energy features. They can also offer a discounted certification to their sellers.
Pearl’s certification includes a detailed certification report, an Appraisal Addendum, and a full-color print and online marketing package. When marketed properly, Pearl’s third-party certification has been shown to add 5% or more in value to a home, according to an independent study authored by appraisers.
“Buyers want energy efficient, healthy homes, and survey after survey shows they’ll pay more for them – but only if they have reliable, investment-grade information about the home’s features,” said Pearl President and COO Robin LeBaron. “Pearl’s partnerships with select brokerages ensures that qualified agents have the training and tools to showcase these homes.”
Pearl Certification is a national firm that provides third-party certification of high-performing homes: homes with “performance assets” that make them healthy, safe, comfortable, energy and water efficient. Pearl Home Certification, which has raised more than $4.5 million from private and institutional investors, was accepted into the prestigious National Association of Realtors Reach Accelerator program in 2017.
