Pearl develops micro-credentials and/or credentials of individuals, including 1) the credentials of Pearl staff who are responsible for performing specific tasks associated with the issuance of Pearl Certifications and 2) the credentials of external parties delivering services directly or indirectly associated with the issuance of Pearl Certifications. These credentials may also define how individuals meet minimum requirements to become Qualified Sources of data and/or recognized as Qualified Professionals recognized by Pearl.
Pearl Approvers
Pearl Approvers are employees who have specialized expertise in:
Pearl’s Process Standards, in which the Pearl Approver plays a vital role.
- Pearl’s Accreditation Standards for their market segment, since the Pearl Approver serves as a conduit to:
receive Certifiable Data from a Qualified Source and/or
receive Certifiable Data from a source that is not accredited or credentialed, and therefore the Pearl Approver must receive supporting documentation, photos, or other evidence before approving a request for certification.
Pearl Approvers are embedded in different market segments/industries.
Pearl Approvers are trained and credentialed on their knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to understand their market segment, as well as Pearl’s Process and Accreditation Standards.
Pearl Certifiers
Pearl Certifiers are employees who have specialized expertise in:
Pearl’s Process Standards, in which the Pearl Certifier plays a critical role.
Building science and “house-as-a-system” concepts.
Pearl’s Accreditation Standards, since the Pearl Certifier must be competent in reviewing all certification requests that are approved by the Pearl Approver and apply consistent Process Standards regardless of whether the request derived from any particular Divisions, Qualified Source, or non-Qualified Source.
Pearl Certifiers are trained and credentialed on their knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to understand their entirety of Pearl’s market segments, as well as Pearl’s Process and Accreditation Standards.
